|TRUE COUNTRY MUSTARD|
My family has been making this mustard for over 50 years. Our aunt learned the recipe in Iowa as a young lady and taught us how to make the mustard on her farm in Wisconsin. One of her cousins said the recipe took a first place at the 1979 Arizona State Fair! This truly is a "country mustard."
My dad said, "Son, if you can't cut the mustard, don't reach for the jar!"
to our MUSTARD web site. This site is totally a family affair. Super "design" daughter Gena built it from bits and pieces provided by Mom and Dad and lots of research on her own. We hope you enjoy your visit here as it will show you some facts and trivia about mustard you might not know! MUSTARD is a must have for hot dogs, sausages, and a wide range of sandwiches. Its an important ingredient in many recipes too. When it comes to condiments, mustard is among the most popular. When it comes to longevity, mustard is unrivaled. It has literally been in use to spice up meals for thousands of years!
Now that we have a greatly expanded production capacity at La Pasta Italia we are exploring things like a squeeze bottle, larger jars for volume users, etc. So stay tuned!
Wild Bills is going GREEN!! That's right, we want to be right in the thick of recycling movement. We think recycled MUSTARD jars make alot of sense. The canning jars we use have been around for eons (just like me!) they are easy to sanitize and I add new rings and domes and WALLA as good as new! So when you are re-ordering your favorite mustard return the jars to me and help save Mother Earth.
JAR ALERT! If you know of anyone that has jars stowed away and not being used let me know. I will contact them and make a deal for the jars. I only use 8-oz and 16-oz, Regular Mouth (not wide). Any brand is ok, the most popular are Kerr, Ball and Mason.
